White House Moves Suspected Israeli Spy Bill Luti out of Pentagon and into the White House

President Bush intends to nominate Robert Kimmitt as deputy secretary of the Treasury. According to a statement released by the White House, Kimmitt is currently working in the private sector as chairman of the International Advisory Council for Time Warner Incorporated. Previously he was U.S. ambassador to Germany and the under secretary of state for political affairs.

Also, the president’s national security advisor, Stephen Hadley, announced the appointment of William Luti as special assistant to the president and senior director for defense policy and strategy.

According to a White House statement, Luti most recently served as deputy under secretary of defense for Near Eastern and South Asian affairs, and was previously the special advisor for national security affairs to Vice President Cheney after a career as a naval officer.
